Automated Response Thresholds

We've added a little, but quite useful feature recently that you may have seen pop up on your Stack pages recently: Automated Response Thresholds.

This slider lets you have more fine-grained control over how Dispatch auto-responds to your requests. Basically, if you find that Dispatch is already doing a good job at replying, leave it set the way it is, but you can also change the threshold to be more or less precise (more precise means that Dispatch needs to be more sure about replying to a message before it replies, and less precise is the opposite of that), so Dispatch only responds to the things that it should. Enjoy! All you need to do is click on a stack to find this slider.

Wufoo Integration & Custom Fields

We've been hard at work here at Sense Labs lately. Recently, we've been working with our friends over at Wufoo to integrate our two platforms. Wufoo makes great forms that many people use every day to gather information from people all around the world, and Dispatch helps our users to process/act on that information efficiently.  It's a match made in heaven.  Now, you have the choice of using one of our forms or hooking up a Wufoo form, whether it's pre-existing, or a totally new form. It's super-easy to get things set up, too! First, you go to the stack that you want to connect to your Wufoo form. Under Request Collection Methods, pick Wufoo Integration. Then, if it's your first time linking a Wufoo form, you'll need to log in using your Wufoo subdomain, email and password. Once you've done that, you'll be presented with a list of the forms in the Wufoo account that you just linked to. Pick the one that you'd like to use with this stack. Then, you just need to map the fields on your Wufoo form to the fields that we use in Dispatch.  We also support up to 5 custom fields, so if your form has more information that you want to include (Order Number, User ID, etc), you can select those at the bottom of this screen. Then, click Save Field Configuration, and  you're done! There's absolutely nothing that you need to set up in your Wufoo account.  We do all the work of connecting your form to Wufoo automatically.  Now, your Wufoo form is Dispatched.  You can immediately fill out your form, and the results will go straight into Dispatch.

Custom Fields

Speaking of custom fields... if you're familiar with HTML, now you can pass custom fields with our built-in forms too. Just pass as many custom fields/values you'd like to pass as parameters to the "src" value in your embedded form code:  For instance, on Are My Sites Up, we pass a User ID with each submission to the form, so we know which user to look up. Our default code from Dispatch looks like this:
